100:2 and a Virtual Issue

Roses are red (sometimes),
the Journal cover is blue.
What better way to spend st Valentine’s
than reading Issue 2?

The new issue is now online and you can read it here>

This is the first Journal issue to include a new online feature providing direct links to any extra articles about the paper. So, if the paper has been selected as the Editor’s Choice, mentioned in a news article, or featured in a blog post, you’ll see the links appear in the table of contents and above the abstract of the paper.

We really hope you will find this feature useful and, as ever, if you have any other suggestions we would like to hear them.

Michelle Leishman has written the Editor’s Choice article for Issue 2 on the paper by Padilla et al. Scott Chamberlain also interviewed the first author, David Padilla, in a blog post last month. You can watch the video interview here>.

The Young Investigator Prizeswinners have now been announced by all British Ecological Society Journals. Congratulations to all the winners.

The five BES journals have produced a Virtual Issue featuring the winners and two highly commended papers from each journal, which is now online.

Scott interviewed the Harper Prize winner, Ryan Phillips, earlier this year. Read more about the study (as well as other entertaining comments, such as Ryan mistaking the  email announcing his award for SPAM) in the interview here>
